It’s not a huge difference but it’s definitely noticeable. The Kobo Libra 2 uses a new Carta 1200 screen with improved contrast. It has more of a utilitarian design, and it has an indented screen instead of a flush screen, which some people consider a downgrade, but it actually helps make the screen look better without having an extra layer over the front. The plastic casing doesn’t feel as nice as the soft rubbery texture on the Kobo Sage, and it doesn’t have the premium feel like the Kindle Oasis. It does help make the device feel nice and secure in your hand, and the back has some texture for added grip. They did change the design slightly by adding more of a flair to the edge and moving the buttons closer to it. The Kobo Libra still has a 7-inch 300ppi E Ink screen, a frontlight with adjustable color temperature, a 1GHz processor, WiFi (still single band only), and an IPX8 rating, meaning it’s waterproof down to 2 meters for 60 minutes.įor some reason it’s actually a bit heavier than the first gen Libra by about 20 grams, but it’s still comfortable to hold with a thumb resting over a button. The new version adds 32GB of storage space, Bluetooth to listen to audiobooks, and a USB-C port, but most of the other specs remain the same as before. On paper it doesn’t look like much has changed on the Libra 2 compared to the first gen Libra H2O model. If screen contrast and frontlight uniformity means a lot to you, and you don’t care about the upgrades on the Kobo Sage, then the Kobo Libra 2 is the model to get. Most importantly, the screen looks great and the frontlight is the best I’ve seen on a Kobo ereader. The only complaint I have about the Libra 2 is it’s a bit on the heavy side and it’s kind of thick, and the plastic casing doesn’t feel as elegant in the hand as similar models like the Kobo Sage and Kindle Oasis, but it’s also a lot cheaper than those devices. I didn’t have high expectations based on my experience with the first generation model, but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite ereaders. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the Kobo Libra 2.
How do I get the captain to dock at the shipyard if there is no "dock" option? I guess I must be missing something. No matter what I try, be it the 'move to shipyard' option, 'follow me' option (and then dock myself), or in fact any option, he floats impotently by the shipyard, rather than docking - and so I cannot buy the ore mine I want to splash out on. Anyway, Ive got a foothold now, with a small fleet of trading ships (a couple of sector/universe. May 09, 15:03 I just bought X3 Terran Conflict from Steam. Finally dove back into the X universe - I had some familiarity with one of the earlier versions, so it wasnt a complete unknown, but took a bit to get back into things. May 09, 22:11 Printable Manual for X3 Terran Conflict by Naleax Fri, 29. I have hired him, and I can give him orders, but only have "Move to Shipyard." rather than "Dock at Shipyard." available in the comm options. Automated mining, next steps, and other questions. I got a 64bit install of windows 7, 16gb ram, i5 3330 and a nvidia geforce 960. The game simply freezes and I cannot do anything other than get to the task manager and close the process. I have been trying for ages to convince my Teladi TL Albatross Captain to dock at the nearby Teladi Shipyard, at the PTNI (TPNI? Bad memory) Headquarters. Got a demeter with manual buys and manual sells and flying around with a blastclaw. The threads Ive read all say that its better to start your economy early - as early as feasibly possible. I'm dipping into the manual if I need to, but am trying to pretend like I have really just pulled up in my crappy ship looking to make a buck :) Role playing etc. So, I start with Terran Defender, as its at the top of the list, and most sites say its not a bad start to go with. I even bought a new Alienware computer back in the day to play it. I remmeber pre-ordering it nearly 4 months before it was released. Its probably not the most hassle free way of doing things, but I have kind of decided I want to try to figure out this game organically, by trial and error and discovering, because I find it rewarding that way. Hey guys, So many moons ago I was a teenager and excited for the release of X3: Reunion. I recently bought X3, and am totally new to the genre. You want fine-grain control over merging. You don't want to manage user access on your repository. Generally, for hosted systems, forks work well in situations where, as a repository admin: You can google for discussions about this. Whether you use either branching or forking, and to what extent, depends on your working environment. There are lots of ways colleagues can work with and combine fork and branch functionalities. This isn't the case with a DVCS clone on your local system. For example, on Bitbucket, you can always see which repository the fork came from. The Bitbucket software adds management to forks forking a repository in Bitbucket has functionality you normally wouldn't associate with a simple DVCS clone. If you fork a repository, you get that repository and all of its branches.Īs DVCS hosting evolved, the term fork evolved. If the original repository is deleted, the fork remains. So, unlike a branch, a fork is independent from the original repository. Like a tree trunk's branch, a code branch knows about the trunk (original code base) it originated from.įork is another way of saying clone or copy. The term fork (in programming) derives from a Unix system call that creates a copy of an existing process. The code that is branched (main trunk) and the branch know and rely on each other. A repository code branch, like a branch of a tree, remains part of the original repository. Both Mercurial and Git have the concept of branches at the local level. What is a branch? What is a fork?īranching and forking provide two ways of diverging from the main code line. Each method is slightly different and is done for different reasons. There are a number of ways to get your Bitbucket Cloud repository code so that you can work on the project. In the Mapping list, make sure the Default (factory) mapping is selected. Pick a controller from the device window to customize. More details about VirtualDJ script actions and syntax are available in the Wiki pages (Documentation button) CUSTOM MAPPING 1. Additionally, there is a mapping tool to the right of the box to easily pick out skin elements that a button could be mapped to, and automatically mapping the button with a few mouse clicks. Clicking on a script will add it to the button chosen for easy custom mapping. Clicking on the category will display script help for that particular category to the right. In the lower section, there is a category view with some commonly used scripts. Clicking on any Key in the list or selecting it from the key drop-down menu will display it’s mapping in the Action field in order to edit the script. In the middle section a list with all the available Keys and their assigned Actions are displayed on the left side. Clicking on it will open a web browser with the information. button will appear if the selected controller has a manual or documentation available. Automatic is the default which allows VirtualDJ to assign the decks automatically as it is the most common. The Deck List assigns the decks to be controlled by the connected device. Save and Delete buttons are available to the left of the Mapping List to save and delete altered or custom mappings. Set a device to Ignore to use it with a different application while running VirtualDJ at the same time. Each one of the connected devices offers Ignore and Factory default mapping in the Mapping List. In the top section of the Controllers tab all connected MIDI and HID devices will be listed on the top left list (only Keyboard will be available if no MIDI/HID device is connected). To check if your controller is natively supported please see Supported MIDI and HID Controllers in VirtualDJ Controllers are available only if a Pro Full Infinity or a controller specific license is available (See Licenses), otherwise the controller will work only for the first 10 minutes of use when the software is initially launched. Mappings can be easily changed and tweaked to preference. Settings MAPPING VirtualDJ comes with predefined mappings for most of the MIDI/HID DJ Controllers on the market. So it is important to have your diagrams designed first before jumping into its development. By creating it, you’ll be able to see the flaws of the system and you may avoid it once you apply it to the project development. There are two types of those: Stern (rear) diving planes and bow (front) diving planes. Diving planes look a little like horizontally placed rudders. Watch the animation on the right to get the general idea.ĭiving planes: Submarines in addition to well known rudders are also equipped with something called “diving planes”. That causes the air to push the water out from the ballast tanks through the bottom openings of the ballast tanks and the submarine becomes positively buoyant again – can cruise on the surface. Finally, when the resurfacing order is given, compressed air is being blown into the tanks while the upper venting valves are CLOSED. Now the submarine has either neutral or negative buoyancy – it dives and can cruise under the waters surface. When the dive is ordered, the upper vents of the ballast tanks are being OPENED which causes the tanks to flood with water through the bottom openings. During that surface cruise submarine is in a state which is called a positive buoyancy, because its diving tanks are filled with air. All of those are connected with pressure tanks filled with compressed air, which is gathered and stored during the surface cruise. Everything is being controlled by lots of valves with lots of backup systems. Real submarines have complicated diving systems consisting of many ballast tanks, trimming tanks, auxiliary tanks, emergency tanks etc. To understand how a RC model submarine dives you need to understand how the real submarines manage it, just the general idea. – Sealing the moving parts of your model – shafts, pushrods etc. – Model types – static divers and dynamic divers Table of contents: – Submerging – absolute basics. Technology – The knowledge and the equipment you’ll need to construct and operate your radio controlled model submarine. And, if working a real job isn’t enough for you, you can skip to the year 2050 in Job Simulator, where robots have replaced us all, to learn the robotic skills needed to work as a chef, office worker, food shop cashier etc. The Ninja Trainer game is even more strenuous, throwing fruits, that progressively get smaller and more frequent, at you to slash with your samurai sword with precision and accuracy.įor more artistic types, Tilt Brush allows you to change your 360-degree environment (be it a mountain or space) to start creating a canvas from paint brushes, star stamps and the like. Landscape-based games like Highlands have you point the controllers to propel yourself from tree to tree, navigating around by using a trackpad to move horizontally and vertically (not ideal for those who suffer from motion sickness).įor sports practice, baseball pitching game Homerun Derby promises to train your hand-eye coordination enough to happily take a pitcher role IRL. It’s also a little heavier because it has the ability to change the lens distance from your face, which is a vital feature for glasses wearers (anyone who has had to double up on glasses for a 3D film will appreciate this.)Ĭreative production agency Happy Finish invited us to have a go on their HTC Vive in their London demo studio, and the intuitive, simple-to-use motion-based controllers make shoot em’ ups like zombie horror Brookhaven Experiment feel like Time Crisis arcade play on speed. You can go full robot by turning this setting on exclusively and pretending you live in The Matrix. Compared with the Oculus, Vive has a “chaperone safety system” made of invisible lasers, which show you when you’re getting too close to an object or wall - like an in-car safety system but instead of beeping, you’ll see blue outlines of your surroundings. Local version control systems have a database that stores all file changes under revision control on disc in a special format. Different types of version control systems Mention some popular Git hosting services.ĥ. To provide Internet hosting for version control and software development, GitHub makes use of Git. This helps ensure that all team members are working on the latest version of the file What do you understand by the term ‘Version Control System’?Ī version control system (VCS) records all the changes made to a file or set of data, so a specific version may be called later if needed. It enables multiple users to work together and handles large projects efficiently.Ģ. Git favors both programmers and non-technical users by keeping track of their project files. In other words, it’s a tool that facilitates source code management in software development. Git is a version control system for tracking changes in computer files and is used to help coordinate work among several people on a project while tracking progress over time. Other developers can then pull the changes down from the remote repository and incorporate them into their code.Īnd an important thing about Git is that it is a free source and open to anyone. Then, they can push their changes to a remote Git repository, such as a server hosted by a company or an open-source project. When a developer makes a change to a code file, they can commit that change to their local Git repository. Git is typically used for software development, but it can be used for any type of file. Git is an open-distributed version control system that allows developers to track changes to their codebase and collaborate on projects with other developers. Stidham has thrown 48 passes in three seasons as a backup in New England before following coach Josh McDaniels to Las Vegas this offseason.ĪP Pro Football Writer Josh Dubow contributed to this report. Stidham had started all three preseason games, going 25 for 40 for 244 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. The trade by Las Vegas clears the way for Jarrett Stidham to be the backup behind Derek Carr. Mullens was 21 for 29 for 205 yards and a TD in three exhibition games for the Raiders this summer. Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah knows Mullens well, having spent time with him during his tenures in both San Francisco and Cleveland. He went 20 for 30 for 147 yards and a TD in his only appearance last season for the Browns. He has completed 64.6% of his passes, averaging 267.8 yards passing in his starts, with 26 TDs, 22 interceptions and an 87.3 passer rating. Mullens, 27, has appeared in 20 career games with 17 starts with San Francisco and Cleveland since entering the league as an undrafted free agent with the Niners in 2017. O’Connell said he’s been pleased with the backs and offensive line in the running game, so he was more focused on the passing game against San Francisco. Mannion, who has thrown 110 passes in seven seasons as a backup in the NFL, was 18 of 27 in two preseason games, but averaged 5.33 yards per attempt.Ĭombined Mond and Mannion were 20 of 35 for just 147 yards, and the offense generated only 195 yards Saturday. Mond, the team’s third-round pick in 2021, threw two TD passes in the Vikings’ exhibition opener against Las Vegas but had two interceptions against San Francisco. Mond and Mannion have split time this preseason with Cousins sitting out. “Although we didn’t do that, I still think there’s some real teachable moments and then some real moments where we’ll be able to evaluate and kind of really look at where we are at that position as we kind of restack everything to go into this week.” Minnesota Vikings quarterback Jaren Hall (16) scrambles against the Arizona Cardinals during the first half of an NFL preseason football game, Saturday, Aug. Minnesotas backup-backup QB, Joshua Dobbs, leads Vikings to stunning comeback win over Falcons Just five days after joining the team, Joshua Dobbs posted a sterling performance to key a Vikings. Minnesota coach Kevin O’Connell said Saturday. “You would have loved to come out of tonight feeling like, ‘Shoot, they both moved the team and scored a lot of points and we’ve got a heck of a hard discussion and conversation ahead as a staff and as an organization,’” Mullens will compete with second-year player Kellen Mond and veteran Sean Mannion, who both struggled to move the ball much against San Francisco in Saturday’s second preseason game. |
